The growing food scene in Lusaka over the years has given rise to a host of culinary events all dedicated to enjoying the tasty things in life; food festivals, wine shows, night markets and even restaurant weeks are now commonplace.

One of the most prominent events has definitely been the Lusaka Wine show, organized by Go Vino and hosted by Radisson Blu Hotel. For wine connoisseurs and novices alike, this right here is the perfect opportunity to sample the best wines and to get to know the houses behind them.

Enjoy the best offerings from award winning South African wineries and distilleries; including a wide selection of wines from full-bodied reds, to crisp whites and even handcrafted gins.

In it’s fifth year running, this year’s show is set to include 14 wineries on its list of exhibitors, including Waterkloof , Babylonstoren, Cronier, De Meye, Hoopenburg, Hillcrest, Journeys End, Lynx, Noble Hill, Niel Joubert, Peter Falke, Painted Wolf, Zandvliet and Sarah’s Creek. Gin aficionados can look forward to seeing artisanal gin brands like Clemengold, Musgrave and Hope on Hopkins and last but not least, bespoke craft mixer makers, Fitch and Leedes.

Make no mistake; if that list doesn’t make you want to go to the show, at least the entertainment is worth the trip. Guitarist Ben Ratnam will provide live music over the course of the two-night event. Now isn’t that a stellar combination; good wine, good food from Chuma Grill’s Braai night and good music to boot.

At the end of it all, everyone is sure to leave a little more enlivened no doubt, with a sizeable stockpile to add to your cellars.
Make sure to mark your calendars, clearing your evenings for June 8 and 9th 2018.
