Flame

The elegant interior and ambience at Flame harmoniously synchronises with their elevated food offerings, promising to cater to those with a taste for good food in Lusaka. Executive Chef Moyo, has achieved international acclaim having won the esteemed Emirates Culinary Guild competition in 2018. His career has taken him to kitchens across Dubai, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, and he has brought this experience into the crafting of the menu at Flame. The menu has a number of delightful options for different dietary requirements. One of their most exciting menu items is the Slow-cooked Korean BBQ short rib. Paired with a carrot-ginger puree, the smoky sweet barbecue flavour is enhanced, creating indulgence with every bite.

Urban Masai: Nyama Choma

Urban Masai is situated along the swarming Great East Road, offering visitors meals influenced by East African and Zambian cuisine. Nyama choma is a Swahili phrase that means ‘roasted meat’ indicative of the restaurant’s East African roots. Urban Masai is a spacious, quasi-outdoor space, elegantly decorated in the afro-chic style, reflecting its African roots. Urban Masai’s variation is slowly grilled over low, consistent heat for over two hours until the succulent meat falls off the bone and served with a side roasted plantain. Their standout dish, Chimubabe (their foiled fish), is expertly seasoned and stuffed with potatoes and its familiar garlic mix.
